Who am I?

read and pole

It's hard to define myself. I often straddle different worlds. I try to find happy convergences between what I offer, want to learn, what people need, and what creates joy.

Current focus

I am on a journey to learn about regenerative place making - how to develop a place so that natural and human ecosystems thrive. I am directing my own practice research by traveling to and learning from inspiring land-based communities, and looking for opportunities to build on this knowledge and experiences through concrete projects.

Pillars of Interest

Impact, Innovation, Immersive learning

Currently, I am a freelance consultant with businesses and organisations that want to create value through restorative practices. I am open to exploring projects that aim to restore ecosystems and/or are community centred, especially in the area of sustainable food production.

I've studied and worked in the sustainability field for 6+ years, spanning academia, government, non-profit spaces, and creative spaces. Outside of my formal jobs, I dedicate time to impactful projects such as Climate Change Theatre Action, learning resources on sustainable food systems for Young Sustainable Impact SEA, "Impact In Sight" podcast interviewing founders and funders of impact startups with Interseed.co. In 2022, I deep dove into learning experience design with Edutech startup Doyobi, to create immersive learning experiences led by facilitators on an open source platform called Gather. We integrated complex real world issues with critical skill building for adolescents.

Theatre making and Community

Theatre was a starting point for finding creative outlets in my late twenties. After a sustained exploration into various aspects of performance making, I am now on a long term journey to integrate it in various forms in my life. I have a soft spot for cabarets as a catalytic experience for joyful self discovery and of course, lots of fun for performers and audiences. I am active in learning about practising intimacy coordination and choreography for performance contexts, and co-created the Consent Collaborative to support building community capacity for more care.

Embodiment

I've been on an embodiment journey that I can trace back to loving to move as a child, to being alienated from my body as a teenager and young adult, to finding freedom again in movement, dance and physical theatre. I believe in the power of movement to help us heal and live more freely and fully. As a mover, I explore and integrate different modalities, from different teachers, ranging from yoga, to to aerial arts, physical theatre, blues dancing, contemporary dance, contact improv. I am like a piece of clay, ever being shaped by the teachers of different teachers.

Instructor trainings: YTT 200 (Union Yoga Ayurveda) and Aerial Hammock (Mindful Movement).
